My Approach
I believe therapy works best when you feel understood, respected, and comfortable enough to be open. I consider what you’re experiencing in the context of your relationships, identity, and everyday life. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. We can start with what feels important to you and make room for what emerges along the way.
You are the expert on your own life. My role is to listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, offer perspective, and work alongside you toward meaningful change.
Exploration and Curiosity
Together, we’ll explore your experiences, emotions, relationships, and patterns with curiosity and without judgment. There’s room to be uncertain, ask questions, and discover things you may not have noticed before. Through this process, you can develop a deeper understanding of yourself and greater compassion for your experiences.
An Active, Compassionate Presence
I bring warmth and thoughtful engagement to our sessions. I’ll listen attentively while also helping you reflect and recognize patterns, consider new possibilities, and move toward the changes you want to make.
Connection and Collaboration
Therapy is something we do together. A strong therapeutic relationship creates the foundation for our work, where you can feel heard, respected, and able to speak openly about what matters to you. Building that trust takes time, and I believe it’s an important part of making meaningful progress.
We’ll identify your goals, consider different perspectives, and find practical approaches that fit your life. I welcome your feedback about how our work feels and what you need from me along the way.
Therapy Tailored to You
I draw from cognitive behavioral, acceptance and strengths-based, and psychodynamic approaches, alongside practical skills, to tailor therapy to your needs. Our work may include developing practical coping strategies, exploring behavioral and relationship patterns, exploration of identity, values, and goals, and/or understanding how past experiences shape the present. Throughout this process, we’ll build on your strengths and adapt our approach to your experiences, goals, and pace.
